New Courses : Urban Design at CEPT and B.Plan at NIRMA
CEPT University announces 5 year undergraduate programme for Bachelor of Urban Design programme. Candidates who have passed Class XII from any stream and diploma holders ( 10 + 3 ) with minimum 50% marks are eligible to apply. The reservation criteria is as per GoG norms. The ( BUD ) Bachelor of Urban Design will have an intake of 40 students and will be offered through the Faculty of Planning.
CEPT University had suspended its B.Plan Course two years back amid students protests. The main reason being the course not having ITPI approval.

Meanwhile, Nirma University is planning to launch 4 year B.Plan course, after receiving approval from ITPI, India. The course will start from this year, with 60 seats under the guidance of Utpal Sharma. Nirma, which is a private university, is already offering Bachelor of Architecture.
