HOW TO CRACK NIFT

Tip No. 1. It is a famous saying that developing a skill is 99% hardwork & 1% talent. Drawing is also a skill. So don't loose heart, if you are not a natural artist. You can develop your drawing skills with persistent practice & continuous efforts. You should be able to draw fairly well, because drawing is the only medium available to you, to put your ideas on paper, in the exam.

NIFT ENTRANCE PREPARATION TIPS 

Tip No. 2. Work on your creativity! After all, the examiners are looking out for individuals with unique thinking patterns. Don't have the same concepts in mind, as the rest of 99% of candidates. THINK OUT OF THE BOX! Resist conventional thinking patterns.  

PREPARATION FOR NIFT EXAM

Tip No. 3. It makes sense to practice in A4 size sheets, as this is the standard size sheets provided in the Cat Exams.

Tip No. 4. It helps to be acquainted with previous years papers of NIFT. Solving 10-12 papers does help as it helps the candidates identfy the pattern, difficulty & type of questions.

Tip No. 5. Start solving NIFT previous years CAT & GAT papers in the specified time. Do this using a timer.  If you are not able to complete the papers in the stipulated time, you definitely need to work on your speed.

Tip No. 6. Dry Mediums like pencil colours, dry pastels, crayons etc. are more convenient to use in exam than water colours or poster colours. They take less time and are non-messy, which makes them the best choice to carry along to the examination hall.

 Tip No. 7. Devote time to practice Mathematics, English and Logical Reasoning. Solve question banks & test series. With practice try to increase speed.

 Tip No. 8. Conventional GK books don't help much in Design Entrance Exams. Instead keep a tab on major headlines and stay updated on what is happening in the Indian & International Fashion Industry.

 Tip No. 9. Create genuine interest and passion for your field of study. This will help you remain motivated from within and you don't need to depend on any external source to maintain the momentum.

 Tip No. 10. Maintain a time-table and follow it diligently as it is very important to balance Nift preparations along with school / college studies.
