UCEED 2015 Exam Details
Two late bloomers catching up this exam season, are NID Vijayawada & UCEED – both for Design Education. You can read NID Vijaywada details in the last post, if you missed.
UCEED 2015 will be conducted by Indian Institute of Technology ( IIT ) Bombay in 9 cities across India: Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkatta, Mumbai and Pune on 31 May, 2015.
The student community is pretty excited about UCEED as this is the first time that Industrial Design Centre ( IDC ) at IIT Bombay is providing a B.Des. programme. IDC already runs M.Des. programme in Industrial Design, Visual Communication, Animation Design, Interaction Design as well as a Ph.D. programme in Design.
UCEED 2015 will be administered through a computer based test divided into 3 sections. The question paper will be of 3 hours duration, containing 100 questions & carrying a total of 300 marks.
Section A: Numerical Answer Type questions ( NAT )
- The answer which is a number has to be entered using a virtual keyboard in the computer screen.
- Each correct answer gains 3 marks.
- Negative Marking: Each wrong answer will be given -1 mark.
- No choices or options will be shown.
- Questions not attempted will be given 0 marks
Section B: Multiple Select Questions ( MSQ )
- Each question has four choices out of which one or more are correct.
- If all correct answers are selected, only then 3 marks will be awarded.
- No negative Marking for this section
- Questions not attempted will be given 0 marks
Section C : Multiple Choice Questions ( MCQ )
- Each question has four choices out of which one is correct.
- Negative Marking: Each wrong answer will be given -1 mark.
- Questions not attempted will be given 0 marks
In comparison to CEED, UCEED 2015 is complete computer based test, devoid of any drawing test. Students can download UCEED 2015 Brochure, UCEED sample paper & Answer key.
