NID Jorhat will be operational from Academic Year 2019 - 2020. Like any other recently established institute, things will take time to settle in initially, but don't forget that the Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion has announced the commencement of NID Jorhat, so you don't need to worry regarding the Faculties & Infrastructure. It is a boon for the North-Eastern States as they now have access to quality design education. Also more seats in NID means less competition.....Your probability of getting in increases. Good Luck!
