NATA Preparation: How to Attempt 2D Compositions?
Nata 2024 will be conducted in a new format.
There are a few changes in the online test, but the main pattern change is about the re-introduction of drawing portion.
There will be 3 questions in Drawing & Composition Test:
The first question is on "Composition & Colour" and will carry 25 Marks
As per Nata Brochure 2024, this question is about "creating suitable compositions for various situations and coloring them appropriately. Re-Arranging various shapes in visually appealing manner and coloring it suitably."
In this article, we'll discuss "how to answer this question well in order get maximum marks?"
For convenience sake, we'll address this question as "2D Composition."
Let's simplify this question: Basically the student needs to create interesting 2D Composition with the help of basic geometrical shapes like squares, circles, rectangles and triangles.
Let's understand this problem with the help of the following practical exercise:
(Note: In order to have a better understanding of the exercise the task is being attempted using coloured paper cut – outs of basic geometrical shapes and thread to represent lines.
In the exam, the composition needs to be drawn on paper with a pencil & then colored.)
