JEE Main Paper 2 Scheme of Examination

National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts Joint Entrance Exam Paper 2 to measure the aptitude of the applicant for admission to B.Arch/B.Plan programs at NITs, IITs, Other centrally funded Technical Institutions, Institutions funded by several participating State Governments & several other Institutions. 

JEE Main Paper 2 will be conducted in the following modes:

1. Paper 2A (B.Arch): Mathematics (Part I) and Aptitude Test (Part II) in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode only. Drawing Test (Part III) in pen & paper (Offline) mode, to be attempted on drawing sheet of A4 size.

2. Paper 2B (B.Plan): Mathematics (Part I) and Aptitude Test (Part II) and Planning Based Questions (Part III) in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode only.

 

JEE Main Paper 2 Pattern of Examination

The JEE Main Paper 2 B Arch Entrance Exam comprises of three parts

Part I - Mathematics - 20 MCQs & 5 questions will have answers to be filled as a numerical value out of 10. There will be no negative marking for numerical value. Total 100 marks alloted for Mathematics portion.

Part II - Aptitude Test- 50 MCQ Questions for 200 marks.

Part III - Drawing Test - 2 Questions to Test Drawing Aptitude are asked for 100 marks

Total 82 questions are asked in JEE Main Paper 2 exam for 400 marks. 

The JEE Main Paper 2 B Plan Entrance Exam comprises of three parts

Part I - Mathematics - 20 MCQs & 5 questions will have answers to be filled as a numerical value out of 10. There will be no negative marking for numerical value. Total 100 marks alloted for Mathematics portion.

Part II - Aptitude Test- 50 MCQ Questions for 200 marks.

Part III - Planning Test - Planning Based Objective type 25 MCQ Questions comprising 100 marks. 

All the exams of JEE (Main) will be conducted as "Computer Based Test" (CBT) Mode except the Drawing Test for B.Arch which will be held as "Pen & Paper Based Test."

Important Points to keep in mind at the JEE Main Examination Centre

The candidates who wish to appear for both B Arch & B Plan, will have the duration of examination for 3:30 hrs ie fro 3:00 to 6:30 pm.

Candidates are advised to report at the Examination Centre, 2 hours before commencement of the exam.

Candidates should take up their seats immediately after opening of the Examination Hall.

If asked by the invigilator, the candidate must show his/her Admit Card.

The candidate should find & sit on the seat indicating his/her Roll No.

If  the candidate finds the subject of question paper available on the computer, other than his/her opted subject, it should be immediately brought to the notice of the invigilator.
