  1. How to improve your chances to crack NID , Part 1 : What are the Examiners looking for ?
  2. How to improve your chances to crack NID , Part 2 : How to Prepare for NID ?

With this series , we at MOSAIC try to answer the increasing number of queries we recieve from NID Aspirants all over India.

If you are preparing for entrance to National Institute Of Design, this word of advice is for you.  Though good drawing skills are important for cracking the exams, it is not the only criteria of judgement. Your creativity & awareness about design also matters. Try & create your own drawings & designs. Show your Individuality. Appreciate other people's work of Art but Don't Copy. The examiners know when the answer is prepared from before. Instead try & take inspiration from things around you. Nature is the best souce of inspiration. Try and study works of great artists like Leonardo da Vinci, Vincent Van Goh & Picasso. Their works are considered prized possessions and are famous all over the world. Creativity means thinking "Out of the Box." Do things which are original & not routine - explore & experiment. Stay updated on current affairs. Read books, magazines, newspapers – It helps ! Develop your observation skills. A good sense of humour definitely helps. Good Luck!
