NID Bengaluru

Established in 2006, NID Bengaluru campus currently offers five Masters programmes in the disciplines of Design for Retail Experience, Digital Game Design, Information Design, Interaction Design & Universal Design.

It was set up as a joint initiative of and funding from the Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion (DIPP), Ministry of Commerce & Industry and the Ministry of Information Technology, Government of India.

NID's Bangalore Campus is a Research & Development Campus and addresses an immediate need for an exclusive Design research centre in the country.

NID Bangalore Entrance Exam

Candidates aspiring to get admission in NID Bangalore, have to appear for NID Design Aptitude Test.

NID M.Des DAT is conducted in two phases: Phase 1 exam (NID DAT Prelims) is a written test held in the month of Dec-Jan every year.

NID M.Des DAT Prelims is a mix of subjective and objective questions. CHECK: NID MDes Syllabus

The Dat Prelims Test is of 100 marks, comprising of a Common Design Aptitude Test & a Discipline Specific Test, which together evaluates the Design Aptitude of the candidate.

Shortlisted students from the first phase are called for a second phase exam called NID DAT Mains. DAT mains for MDes consists of two parts: Studio Tests & Interviews.
