Established in 2006, NID Bengaluru campus currently offers five Masters programme. It is a joint initiative of the Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion (DIPP), Ministry of Commerce & Industry and the Ministry of Information Technology, Government of India. NID's Bangalore Campus is a Research & Development Campus and addresses an immediate need for an exclusive Design research centre in the country.

NID Bangalore Entrance Exam

Candidates aspiring to get admission in NID Bangalore, have to appear for NID Design Aptitude Test. NID DAT is conducted in two phases: Phase 1 exam (NID DAT Prelims) is a written test held in the month of Dec-Jan every year. NID DAT Prelims is a mix of subjective and objective questions. Shortlisted students from the first phase are called for a second phase exam called NID DAT Mains. DAT mains for MDes consists of two parts: Studio Tests & Interviews.
