NID in Vijayawada: National Institute of Design, Andhra Pradesh (NID AP) was established in September 2015.
It is the second autonomous multi-disciplinary design institute, under the DPIIT, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India.
It is the first NID to be set up in accordance with the National Design Policy, GOI, after 5 decades of existence of National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad.
National Institute of Design Vijayawada offers full-time four years B Des programme with specialization streams of Industrial Design, Communication Design and Textile & Apparel Design with a multidisciplinary approach to design education.

National Institute of Design Vijayawada admissions: The application process has started on 8th September, 2023 and ends on 1st Dec, 2023. Apply Here
Admission at NID, Vijayawada will be based on the common Design Aptitude Test (DAT). NID DAT is conducted in two stages: NID DAT Prelims and NID DAT Mains.
