How many Students Appeared for NID 2022?
For admissions for academic year 2022-23, a total of 12,537 applications were received and 11,780 candidates (including Overseas Candidates) appeared for DAT Prelims exam for 144 seats (including 19 supernumerary seats in Overseas category) in B.Des; 75 seats at NID Andhra Pradesh; 75 seats at NID Assam; 75 seats at NID Haryana and 86 seats at NID Madhya Pradesh (including 11 supernumerary seats in Overseas Category). DAT Prelims for B.Des programme was conducted at 38 test centres across 23 cities.

For admissions for academic year 2021-22, the total number of applications received for B.Des programme was 11,612.
In all, 10751 candidates (including Overseas Candidates) appeared in DAT Prelims exam for 144 seats (including 19 supernumerary seats in Overseas Category) in B.Des; 75 seats at NID Andhra Pradesh; 75 seats at NID Assam; 75 seats at NID Haryana and 75 seats at NID Madhya Pradesh (including 11 supernumerary seats in Overseas Category). DAT Prelims for B.Des programme was conducted at 33 test centres across 23 cities.

How many Students Appeared for NID 2019?
For admissions for academic year 2019-20, total 14,562 candidates appeared in DAT Prelims exam for 100 seats in B Des, and for 240 seats (60 seats each) for the other four NIDs.
For the DAT Mains exam, four times the number of seats available were shortlisted for the B Des/GDPD Dat Mains exam.
For B Des/GDPD the Admissions Committee shortlisted 1495 candidates for the DAT mains exam

How many Students Appeared for NID M.Des 2020?
For admissions for academic year 2020-21, the number of applicants for the M.Des programme across 19 disciplines was 5540 and 4930 candidates appeared for a total number of 399 seats in the M.Des programme.
The result of the M Des Dat Prelims held in Dec 2019 was announced online.
Based on the merit/rank list of DAT Prelims exam, candidates were shortlisted totaling to four times the number of seats available in order of merit for M.Des DAT mains exam. For the M Des DAT Mains exam (all 19 disciplines), 1320 candidates were shortlisted.

How many Students Appeared for NID M.Des 2019?
For admissions for academic year 2019-20, the number of applicants for the M.Des programme across 19 disciplines was 8622 and 7985 candidates appeared for a total number of 275 seats in the M.Des programme.
Based on the merit rank list of DAT Prelims exam, candidates were shortlisted totalling to five times the number of seats available in order of merit for M Des.
For M Des, the Admissions Comittee shortlisted 1410 candidates for the DAT mains exam for all 19 disciplines.
